Is there any way to have Dynamic DNS application started as a minimized window directly ?

I'm running Windows 2000 SP4, I tried to put the application in the startup menu, marking it to run minimized and also to define it as a service, defining it also to run minimized, both cases with auto-logon, but I always have the window with the IP address.

Thanks.

Javier

Hello,

setting the shortcut to the homingbeacon.exe as minimized should work. You can also use a /hide switch on the .exe to start it hidden. In this mode I believe you will not see anything ?

Thx,
Sam

:(

Sam,

first question: where is the module \"homingbeacon.exe\" you refer to?

I look in the MyServer.org folder (where the appl was installed by default) and the only module I find is DynamicDNS.exe

I tried to start it with the /Hide option and I got the same result, the first window doesn't appear but the one with the IP address does. Is there anyway to have this last one minimized from the very beginning?

Thanks.

Javier

Ah ... you are using the MyServer.org system. We are talking about 2 different things then. Let me look into the code of the myserver.org client and see if there is something similiar, I will get back to you shortly.

I tried also to run DynamicDNS (Myserver.org) application as service. I downloaded and installed Firedaemon as suggested in MyServer.Org but after configuring it for running DynamicDNS as service, whenever I boot the machine I get an \"Inet error...\"

Any help ??
