how do I transfer a domain I registered through changeip.com?
I read admin panel and something about unlocking it ?

moron needs explicit directions.

Are you trying to perform a transfer in or transfer out?

If you are trying to transfer a domain in either direction it needs to be unlocked. This is a feature that the registries have, so all registrars should support this. Simply log into your account and find the locking feature and turn it off.

Once the REGISTRAR-LOCK has been removed you can then start the transfer from the GAINING registrar. You always start the transfer from the GAINING side, not the LOSING side.

hey Sam... TY... I started a transfer for a domain Today... that Expires Tomorrow at the current registrar... How likely is this to go smoothly???

Hello,

If the domain expires or is expired during the transfer the losing registrar will most likely reject it. If you've already started it you can renew it at the current registrar and it might proceed as if there were no problems.
