I've searched you're forums and Google but I cannot find a simple script for allowing my router to dynamically change my it's own IP with ChangeIP.com. The UNIX scripts in your examples area all require executables that are not included with the router firmware (e.g. Perl or OpenSSL).
There must be a solution for folks who want to use ChangeIP.com as their DDNS provider and have Sveasoft's LinkSys WRT54GS router firmware installed. This firmware natively supports DynDNS.org, TZO.com and ZoneEdit.com, but not ChangeIP.com. I am UNIX-literate but I don't want to re-invent the wheel if I don't have to with making DDNS work.
Thanks in advance for a good cron-able, router script or a behind-the-router linux script for insuring my router stays with its current IP. I believe that you might get even more business if you have a good procedure for this, especially since the build-in DDNS providers aren't cron-ed. |
