Hey LF-X1/X5 users, just in case you did not know, Sony issued a new firmware for both units. Please visit the Sony Support site for your unit and update your toys.

New firmware has been released as of 7/15/05. I am not sure if this new version is using the digest authentication instead of basic authentication - I will check. Using digest authentication makes sure that your username and password are never passed across the wire in cleartext... much better!
