Hi, im in some bad need of help!
Ive registered on the site and have my username and password etc etc.

In the URL to update thing i put the http://nic.changeip.com
and the other one i put http://ip.change.com

Nothing will work, ive tried putting in my host name after the url to update section. Still nothing! the light stays red on the front of my reciever, and the line reads failure at the top. Ive been trying for 4 days to get this to work, with no success. Ive also tried putting my username as suggested by someone else in the URL to update into the internet browser and it does indeed say update complete. Ive got the reciever going so i can watch from 50 ft. and the internet works fine from my linksys router but this NETAV thing has me stumped. If anyone could help it would be great!
thanks
Mike

If you have tried and read all the docs posted on the Sony LF Support site regarding NetAV setup, then you best way out is to call the Locationfree Support and have them walk you through each step. You did not mention what model you own, so I assume it is the 1st generation one: LF-X1 or X5.

well the real thing is that i cant get this site to work for the dynamic DNS. Have any of you guys had the problem where it just keeps saying failure up top? any solutions? The sony phone support is the last option i suppose.
Thanks
Mike

Maybe reset your Locationfree to factory settings and start from the scratch. Follow step by step guide. You may also use other DNS provider if the need be (www.dyndns.org)

ive allready done that a couple of times, im beginning to think this thing will never work with the net av. Its been bothering me like crazy such a needlessly complicated thing. Anyhow the problem is the site, i cant get a confirmation from changeip.com on the system for net av.

Don't get discouraged. Let us know when you get it configured. I wish Sony used the same easy set up they implemented in the new generation of LFTV.
