Connected, no picture, black screen...?

So I am using it on the go, I have the program installed on my laptop, now I am away at a hotel and tried to watch my TV, after it connected and launched , it just turned into a black screen, i can change to TV or video 1 and 2 but they all have no sound and are all black. what can be the problem since it's connected and launched?

I have the same thing happen to me as well at one of the hotels (Sheraton). I think it had something to do with the hotels network set up (wireless). As I jumped on a different wireless network and it worked just fine.
