| Runnig Windows 2000 and Apache 1.3.27 I have comcast for an isp. Can you email me the ports that they block or advise me if you know of them using a caching method which would prevent me from using your services? Also a maybe I am forgetting to do something on my end to not get myserver.myfileserver.org to work correctly. Can you point me to a general configuration FAQ. |

Hello Skunk,
I also have comcast as an ISP. However, I have no problems using changeip.com for all my needs. I am not sure which plan you have ( normal or pro ) but with the ease of the online control panel I do not have to even use the update script on the server to maintain my IP. The pro IPs only changes once a year if that.
I am not sure of the configuration on apache, however on my win2k3 server I am able to run many sites from one IP using host headers without any problem at all. I am also not aware of any ports that are blocked. I use mail on the secure port 5072. I host my sites all on port 80 and ftp on 21.
If there is anything I can help you with please do not hesitate to ask.
Kind regards,
symcorr |

I could use some help please.
I'm just not having any luck setting up my mail server and changeip.com. I'm using MDaemon as my server and HomingBeacon. My ISP is going to start blocking port 25 soon so I need to figure this out soon. |
