Here's a wierd one:

I would like to transfer the domain name ozarksteel.com to ChangeIP. It is currently listed with netsol/verisign and I am the technical contact for the domain name.

When I start the transfer 4-step process, the first step is verifying transferrablility. It shows that the domain name is "unavailable" for transfer? It is not currently expired nor is it new in the last 60 days.

Any clues as to why I'd not be able to transfer it?

Thanks.
L ;)

Anybody know what might be going on with this? Still today shows that domain name as unavailable for transfer?

ozarksteel.com

Thanks,
L

Ah ha... This is something we are working on. Since we are now using VeriSign as our back end registrar we don't need to do a typical Transfer. We do whats called a Channel Transfer; this means that VeriSign can move the domain from their retail side of things to the wholesale account that we have. Basically your domain won't move, but it will only cost you half as much to maintain and you will never have to deal with NSI/VeriSign again... lots of people will appreciate that!

So, if you'd like to move that domain into your account, as well as any other NSI domains, you can email the list to Support@ChangeIP.com and we will initiate the move. The move is free of charge!

Thanks,
Sam

Also, we are working on modifying the Transfer form so that it will walk thru the same process as a normal transfer but charge you nothing at the end... This will be done within about 2 weeks.

Thx,
Sam
