I see that there is an expiration date or whatever next to the domain names that I have registered. Does the domain actually expire on that day or will the domain continue to function past that day? Will the domain renew itself or what? What does that date mean?

For a domain registration you always get a 7 day grace period. This is not given by us but our registrar, NetworkSolutions. After 7 days the domain is deactivated on the root servers and pointed to some parking pages soliciting a renewal. You have up to 28 days to make payment before the domain is placed into RDP status, or backordered by another person.

For dynamic DNS the zone will stop being served at midnight that night. The cutoff time would be 12:00 PST.

For either of these products you can renew them using your MyAccount page. Just click on RENEW next to either the domain registration or the dynamic dns and it can be extended.
