G'Day Sam,

I think I have asked this question in the past but have forgotten the answer. So here goes.

Does the mail system actually track how many emails come and go when you have pop email accounts? What I mean by that is this.

MB Send Limit: 4mb/day
# Send Limit: 40 emails/day
Max Msg Size: 2.6mb

According to this I can send 40 emails a day? Is that really the case? Since I am using pop and smtp from my machine is not changeip just acting as a relay of sort? The email never stays on your server when it comes in cause every 5 minutes my email client checks for mail and when sending mail I can only assume that it remains on your server for an instant and then is gone.

I just want to understand this more in full cause I would like to have a forum like the one you have here and configured properly sends emails to people when they join and when a post is replied to. If properly setup then the emails are never larger then 1k. But if I can only send 40 a day well that would not work.

Can you please get detailed on this and help me understand what I can do and if what it says about sending 40 emails a day is true, then how come it is so strict a limit? I just need to understand this better.

Just want to update this post.

The site information is a little out dated on this topic and will be updated soon. As for emails that are sent the figure should be 10 times the amount, so for an person whom has a 10 meg inbox instead of it being 100 emails a day it should be 1000 emails a day allowance.

I am checking on the information about the size allotment, so I will post once I receive an email detailing that information.
