I cannot tell how often the homing beacon will update. My PC never goes down, but my server ip address changes from time to time (Comcast). I would like it to check every 15 minutes or so, but I come home and discover that the reason I could not get on from the office was that the ip had changed. I can force the change or check now, but I want a regular (predictable) amount of time between updates. That is, if the ip changes at 2:00pm, I want to know that by 2:15 I will be able to access my system. How can I set that.

The HomingBeacon and many other clients should be checking at least once per 5 mins. Can you tell me what software client you are using?
