I have been searching online for Locationfree TV users and forum and accidently found this one!
Not many users though :?
This NetAV function..... I originally signed up with DynDNS.org for the dynamic DNS service, but from time to time when I am \"on the go\" I cannot connect to my Base at home. I am not sure why....
It took me forever to figure the NETAV function, my VAIO router has DNS setting and that is where I input the info. I also have to use both DMZ and port forwarding for the LFX to work. Now sure why.
Today I tried ChangeIP.com service and followed the steps, but they omitted to mention to create a host name! They walk you through step by step but forget to show you how to create the host name....
Anyways, everything was successful but when I tried to connect \"On the Go\" - it did not let me do that. :(
I wanna find out what I am doing wrong... and find a service that is stable.
Let me know guys what you think. Maybe we should create our own Step-By-Step setup for the Locationfree TVs.
I hope Sony keeps supporting the product and not forget it if another model comes out (what they usually do).
Feel free to post here or email me at vaiomx at gmail.com
Stan
P.S. By the way I did a review on LF-X1, if interested read it here:

Hello,

We're glad that you've found us. The Sony LocationFree TV will always be supported by us in the future, no need to worry about it disappearing.

On the signup process on our site it should automatically create you the first hostname that you can use for the TV. Under the MyAccount.asp page (after logging in) you will see a hostname under the 'Dynamic DNS' section, this is the hostname you will use on the locationfree netav setup. If there is not one it might be possible that you signed up before we started this new walkthru. If so, just add a free domain to your account and use that on the NetAv config screen. If you need more help you can always contact us at Support@ChangeIP.com for more detailed help.

I tried accessing the review but got this:

phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database

Maybe you can fix that or post the review here?

Sam

Hey Sam,
Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it. I wish the forum would be more active, but I guess not many people heard about it. It needs to be searchable on Google.
I just tried the link I posted and it worked for me. PLease let me know if it still does not work for you guys, and I will post my review here as well.
Been enjoying NETAV a lot!!!

Hello,

We did optimize this phpbb forum for google searching so at least they get indexed ... you'll notice when not logged in the URLs are se friendly. Once more and more people purchase lftv's then there will be many people showing up here. I think this is still the first locationfree tv forum yet.
