Greetings,
Ok, now I am getting annoyed. For some reason my update client was giving me back the IP address of an old dynamic IP ( hmm , I just changed ISP and it was the last IP from the last ISP). I read the white paper and played around a little with direct URL requests and to my surprise, requests made using SSL gave the correct IP and requests made using http gave the old IP!!!! Guess what, changing my DNS client to SSL fixed that one. SO WHAT'S UP!!!!
I have decided to write my own client for Linux and your white paper goes very quiet at the point where it talks about adding and deleting records, hmmm how long has this work in progress been sitting there unfinished!!
Please, please, please may we have some support here!!! I am happy to contribute a linux client but I need help. How about the source code for the Windows update client, at least that must exist or did the application emanate from thin air!!!
In anticipation,....
