 Post subject: router trouble

i cant get my webpage to display. when i type in the my address from the ddns it redirects correctly because i can read it on my status bar, but for some reason i think there is a problem with the ports on the router. any suggestions? IM me if you have AIM (emmkayy41).

sorry matt, I dont hame AIM, only skype ... but hopefully I can start to debug this for you ...


is 'your website' local to you, ie on your LAN, or is it external, ie somewhere elsewhere, on the 'net?

also, have you tried accessing your site from another link, ie a friends, or a 'net cafe etc.

the reason Im following this line of questions is to identify whether your router is between you and you site ... if it isnt, you may need split DNS, or yeah, a tweaked out router config, to do some static NAT back to the LAN ... and if your site is 'outside' your LAN, then there may be other issues to tackle.
