I've been using the ChangeIP DSMTP for about a year - absolutely no probs at all apart from a couple of initial questions which were handled well. I'm impressed so far.

I've just registered a second domain name with you, and that's brought up a couple of questions on the storage queue sizes and allocation.

Is there any way of reporting how much of the space has been used up? I've got 20Mb available, but I have no idea if that's a ridiculously hedonistic amount for my purposes or if I'd benefit from upping it.

Having added the second domain, I've realised that this pot of 20Mb has to be discretely allocated between the two domains. Given that both are delivering to the same server, is there any reason that they can't share the 20Mb between them - I'm not going to be amused if the new domain is using a tiny portion while I'm losing mail from the first one.... :D

Keep up the good work, Sam!

Adrian.

The storage works a little different based on a backup SMTP or a standard pop3 mailbox setup.

When using Backup SMTP the storage queue is a soft limit. Basically the limit will not directly reject any mail - you will simply get notified via email if you exceed it too many times. You are required to have at least 10mb minimum to add a new domain - this stops people from adding 100 domains with only 10mb of storage. If you are using ETRN you can see what email is in the queue, if you are using NORM you cannot because all email is stored in the 'general' queue with all other customers email. Sorting thru 10,000 emails to find a few for you is CPU and disk intensive and not allowed at the moment. ETRN stores your queue in a folder separated until you trigger it, this is why we can show you that queue.

There are many new enhancements coming out for the email system shortly. We've listed to the feedback you guys have given us and are working on improving on whats there already. This email console is the first version that we produced and has been very flexible and stable for being a first version. We look forward to getting the next enhancements out shortly.

Sam
