My account name is GOOBZ.

I own 7 domains and I requested to move 4 of them from YahooDomains to CHANGEIP after I created a NEW one with CHANGEIP and realized your system was easier to use. I especially like the automatic update of the IP-Address through the client software. Another nice feature is the fact that the address bar on the browser shows what the user types instead of the forwarding info that is behind the scenes.

I also have another 2 domains that I'm keeping with GODADDY until I see the success of the transfers from YahooDomains to ChangeIP. This is why I'm writing now. How long does it take? It has been days!

I was able to change the DNS before closing the account with YahooDomains for one of the 4 domains mentioned above. Using ChangeIP's utility "WHOIS" I see that ChangeIP acknowledges that, but my account shows that it has an NS PROBLEM. What gives? Are your services stagnant on the weekends?

Please tell me I didn't make a mistake.
Out of 7 domains, 5 show NS PROBLEM.
Please clean this up ASAP.
YahooDomains said I had to close my account before you could take it and I did that. Now I have NO ACCESS to these 4 domains form the internet or EMAIL.

Your prompt response will be appreciated

GOOBZ

The NS problem link on the website is static - meaning it will not recheck it unless you click the link. If you click on the NS Problem link and it is still there afterwards then the domain has not fully replicated. Here is how this function works:

When you click on NS Problem our web server will perform an actual NS record lookup on our ISPs DNS servers. If we do not see the necessary NS records listed (NS#.ChangeIP.com) then it will continue to display the error. This is a different check that a simple WhoIS lookup which shows whats the registrar is publishing at the registry. If you are seeing the correct data at the WhoIS system but NS problem still shows then this means it is still in our ISPs cache as the older servers. This is normal - but should only occur for a few days.

NS Problem check does a real time NS record lookup and displays what the DNS system knows about the domain. A WhoIS lookup shows information about the domain that the registrar publishes, but it is not real time.

Transfers can take anywhere from 1-14 days. The losing registrar might also ask you to confirm the transfer request - so look for an email from your current registrar as well. If you did not receive the transfer email from our registrar (netSol) within the first 12 hours then email us back so we can check into it. I've seen some transfers take 2 days (from BulkRegister) and I've seen some take 14 (I won't say who)... You can check the real time status of the transfer by clicking on the EDIT link next to the pending domain in your account.

Let me look into your account and I'll reply with some more specifics on your stuff.

I see that ZMARKER.COM does not have an NS PROBLEM now and I can access it from the internet and receive email for it. I am still waiting for the registrar switch, but I can live with that. This is the one that I was able to switch DNS names before cancelling my accounts. The other 3 gave me an error at YAHOO, so I cancelled the accounts anyway.

When I tried to change DNS at the registrar (Melbourneit.com.au) for the other 3 domains (goobz.net, goobzkustomz.com & acheever.com), I get an error without a solution and they don't answer my emails.

HansenIncomeTax.com IS working even though it shows NS PROBLEM but I can live with that.

I guess the only REAL problem I see at this point in time is the time it takes in getting those 3 switched to changeip as the new registrar.

One of the domains is VERY important to me and I made a leap without realizing I would be offline which I blame YahooDomains/Melbourneit.com.au for.

Thank you for your prompt response on a Sunday. I'll keep my fingers crossed in your success in getting the registrar switch done (hopefully soon)

I understood your response very well and I thank you for that.

ps: I did receive emails from NETWORKSOLUTIONS for all 4 domains on 9/3 at about 4:30 pm and I immediately verified them
