 Post subject: SSL for Dynamic DNS

OK, i have a question. i would like to test my website (currently pokesomi.YGTO.com) in ssl mode. problem is i dont have a domain name registered to the server (which i host on my own vm running ubuntu 9.04 on a iMac at my house) i have to use a self signed cert but will my dynamic dns break if i do so?
