 Post subject: How to make sure HomingBeacon is working

Just signed up one of my clients that makes extensive use of Remote Access within Windows XP for DDNS.

Installed HomingBeacon, and want to make sure that it is working.

I was able to force update, and see it on the changeip.com website.

But if I go in and look now, it does not show any 'communication' with my client/company machines.

My question: how can I be sure HomingBeacon is working?

Does it only update the changeip.com website My Account area if the DSL modem actually gets a new IP?

Using Windows XP SP2.

Had to go into Firewall Security settings and add HomingBeacon program to Exceptions list.

Now all works fine.
